COLLIDE

My latest complete scene for the fox animation I'm working on - this is actually thirty-seven drawings if you can believe it...! I think I'd go mental if I was an animator full time. Please excuse the wonky phone video :)

I have a few more scenes to do but s-l-o-w-l-y getting there. 

In other news, I'm in a group exhibition in Hot Numbers Cafe, Cambridge. (Where my very dapper fellow illustrator-friend Shaun works) The Drink & Draw group (pretty self-explanatory!) meets every two weeks and this includes a piece from some of us regulars. Mine is the drawing on the poncey clipboard-frame :P

And I'm off to Devon this weekend to visit my sister and her gang! I'm hoping for good weather, but we shall see...

INSANE

Hello hello :)

I've had an evening of emails and hair cutting so far... also I have another illustrated flyer commission from the lovely Magpies & I - this time for a monthly market held in The Mauretania, Bristol. I'm taking inspiration from the 1920's / art deco / ocean theme of the building (even the bar was fitted in out of RMS Mauretania after it was taken out of service!) It's such a cool project to work on and I'm having fun researching art deco posters and typography for inspiration.

I've also sent off my five Giclée prints to be displayed (and hopefully sold!) at Peek Boutique's pop-up shop in Surrey over the next month. They are all previous fashion-themed illustrations I've done, which I thought would fit in well with the theme. 

I'm in a pop-up shop frenzy at the moment! Here are the three drawings which were displayed at another Peek Boutique shop in Kingston last weekend. I was asked to illustrate three 'poses' which people would imitate whilst trying on the clothing, to post on the Twitter feed.

STUFF

I've been a busy one the past couple of weeks :) got two paid commissions done, helped out on another film shoot and have been busy planning my fashion-y project!

Here is the 'Magpies & I' pop up shop poster I did, I changed the background a little in the end and hand drew all the lettering.

I've also been busy with the hand drawn animation, working on a close up scene of the fox's face!

Now off to a friend's cafe exhibition and then a weekend of sun and maybe beer :)
